AIR GENERATORS
Supply your analytical instruments with a high purity air generator
What is an air generator and how it works?
Air generators are a safer and more convenient alternative to using gas cylinders. Every time you change a gas cylinder, you take the risk of polluting your gas line with contaminants and impurities. Whereas with an air generator once installed, it will always provide a correct and constant gas purity, without worries, adapted to your needs. But how does an air generator work?
The differents Air Purification Technology available
Zero Air
The Zero Air Generator is designed to receive compressed air from an internal or external compressor.
The oil-free compressor delivers air through a high efficiency coalescing inlet filter to trap moisture that could damage the system. The air exiting the filter enters a high-temperature platinum catalyst that oxidizes hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide to < 0.05 ppm. This reduces the background noise and increases the sensitivity of your analyses. Then, an output particle filter is used to prevent any type of particles from entering the analytical instrument.
Option: The Zero Total air generator allows in addition to the reduction of hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide to remove other pollutants such as NOx and SO2. NOx is reduced with a Purafil filter and the other components are removed with an activated carbon filter.
Ultra Zero Air
The Ultra Zero Air Gas Generator uses adsorption technology (PSA) and a palladium catalyst to produce ultra zero air.
The gas generator is designed to take compressed air at 8 bar (116 psi) from an integrated or non-integrated oil-free air compressor.
This compressed air stream is pre-filtered and then passed over the alumina bed currently in purification mode to remove moisture. The outgoing air enters a high-temperature platinum catalyst that oxidizes hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide to < 0.05 ppm.

TOC
The gas generator is designed to take pre-filtered compressed air at 8 bar from the existing laboratory supply or via the built-in oil-free compressor. The pre-filtered air enters a high-temperature platinum catalyst which, through oxidation, removes hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide to < 0.05 ppm. CO2 and moisture are remove.
CO2 Removal
The gas generator is designed to take pre-filtered compressed air at 8 bar from the existing laboratory supply or via the built-in oil-free compressor. The pre-filtered air enters an air dryer to remove CO2 and moisture, producing a clean, dry, CO2-free air stream.
